Malachi walked out into the yards, his face dark. Turbulent emotions stormed around behind his red eyes. The Virtues...
From his back jutted two wing-like patches of darkness, shadow hands, each holding a figure. The one on the right, a girl, was struggeling and crying out as Malachi ignored her, the other hung limp and listless, given in to his fate.
"MALACHI! PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!!!" Tribe screamed, thrashing against the shadow binds uselessly.
Malachi stopped moving and dropped them both bairly a foot off the ground. Eight years dammage... Andi, please...

"What do you want?" The boy asked mellowly. He wasn't so sure of himself anymore. He thought everything would turn out just fine if he could find out the truth. If he could find Cristina. But the funny thing is... The more he knew, the more confused he himself became. He felt... angry, but at what? He let that thought down.
"Is this about the two?"

"You can remember that much?" Malachi replied, supprised. "Tell me what you remember. That would be the best place to start. And I'll fill in the holes..." To an extent. Normal people arn't supposed to know about the Council. I suppose that's my fault though. And if it's not, I'm sure they'll blame it on me anyways...
"What are you both talking about?" Cristina's anger at the both of them cooled relitivly. Something was going on, she could sence it. It was almost like a feeling of DeJaVu, giving her nostagilic feelings. It reminded her of the past, durring the times just before Malachi had driven them apart. It was that strong feeling of foreboding that she could remember so well...

"Just bits and pieces. I could remember something about a council, something about Virtues..." He looked up to Malachi's black face. Though he couldn't see anything in the darkness, but he could definitely see the shadow that is Malachi... and Tribe. "And some other things I shouldn't know." He added after the short pause.
"You should start from the beginning, as I don't understand much myself."

"Some thing arn't for human ears..." He wispered bitterly. Then, his face lifted with a trademark grin. "Good thing none of us are human. The Council is what you'd better know as the Seven Deadly Sins. They all wear those Silver masks. Stay away from them. They're beyond your power of reckoning. The Virtues are what you would call the Seven Virtues, the ones that oppose the Seven Sins. Obvioiusly, the Virtues are the enemy to the Council, and vice versa." Malachi didn't feel like explaining this. He didn't feel like even thinking about it. Every thought was paired with phantom pains and the face of Andi.

"Not human..." He heard himself whispered. "It still doesn't make sense... then what does the council wants from me?" He shook his head, trying to get rid of the confusion that wasn't going anywhere for a while. He looked at the shadows of Malachi.
"Then what... what does the two factions want? It was to destroy either side, isn't it? Where do we stand in their conflict? I was hoping no where near."

"If that's what you were hoping for, then you're a fool. Of course they want to destroy each other!" Malachi, dispite having abandoned the Council, was still one of the Vices. Nothing could ever change that. He didn't question why they fought, he just knew, as he had known for all eternity, what he was. "And as for what they want from you, hell if I know!" Malachi spat angerly. With each word, his form became more and more unstable.
I've never seen him this angry. Even when he was trying to destroy us, he was always calm, collected, above it all. What could be so horrible that it's turned him into this? Malachi couldn't see how he was acting, but Cristina could.

Brandon took a step back. It seemed he pushed his luck too far this time, but he had his own set of troubles to deal with. So many problem gods to appease with, so little time. He let out a breath. How long had he been this way? He used to be so light hearted. He shook his head. No time for nostalgia. We have some pretty big problems at hand.
"Stay in control, Malachi." He blurted out. "I witnessed first hand what one of them can do. We'll stay clear of them, won't we, Cristina?"

"Umm... Right. Whatever you say, Malachi. Please don't worry. It'll be ok..." she said meakly, willing to do anything to calm down.
...He's right. I'm loosing control. I need to stay calm. I can take care of this. I can stay strong. Malachi's ragged form slowly calmed, becoming more steady and more solid. "...Forgive me."

He don't know what to say anymore. Malachi apologizing? But he knew he was genuinely trying to stay in control, and he had no intentions in ruining that. Who knows what would happen if he ran out of control. "We have to think of something then... If what I heard and suspect is true..."
"They are coming."

"I don't have any affiliation with the Council, so our main worry is with the Council, not the Virtues."
"But that doesn't make any sence! If you're not a part of the Council, then shouldn't we have to worry about the Virtues more?" Tribe couldn't understand it any more than that there were two groups fighting one another. When hadn't there been? The only difference was the affect it was having on Malachi.
"No," Malachi didn't look at her. "Because I'm not a part of the Council, they're already aiming for me. They have been for a very long time, i suppose, but they've just begun their attack. Now that they know where I am, they won't leave me be untill I either consent to their indoctrine willingly or am killed and indoctrined."
"Then why don't you just join back up with them?" She asked impatiently. "That way you won't have to fight them both!" She just had no clue what was going on around her.
In a split instant, Malachi moved, ending up face to face with Cristina. "Because, Cristina... If I did," he grinned. "I'd have to kill you."
After watching her face fill with fear, he let his antics drop and walked back away from her. He glanced at the sightless Brandon for a moment before dropping his eyes.

"If that happens, I would kill you first." He looked at Malachi. He said that because he knew that whatever the circumstances were, he would not join back the council, whatever that was. "From what I can understand, I am also one of their targets. Why, I don't know." Then he turned at Cristina, and search very hard in his memories. He felt something was left inside... something very important, something he couldn't remember... Something he forgot...

"Don't talk big." Malachi scoffed. He was in control, but his anger at the situation was far from gone. "De-factioned or not, I'm still a Vice, and still as powerful." A small lie, but he won't know the difference. Weakened or not, he doesn't stand a chance against me.
"It's just a group, Malachi. That's no reason to say that you're stronger." She didn't want to think of the idea that Brandon might be as powerless against Malachi as she was, dispite all the proof she had.
"You just don't get it, dearie..." Malachi's words were spiteful, though he wasn't angry at her. "The Vices are not just some group like the Twilighters or the Kitrals." He looked her dead in the eye. "We're not just your average, run of the mill mutants. We're the embodyment of the Seven Deadly Sins. We're the bad in the world, and yes, that does make us more powerful than you. We've been around since the dawn of time. I think we've learned a trick or two in all those years."
"I... But you're an infectee! You're just like us! Our powers are the same!"

"Or is it?" Brandon have his own doubts about Malachi and his 'council'. When the woman invaded his mind, he didn't stand a chance against her. That was how powerful a vice is. The truth is, he had seen much more infectees in this world than Cristina, but their strength all have a certain limits... but he knew Malachi, Geniviere were probably among the most powerful.
"If you have been around since the dawn of time, then..." He knew about this! But when did he knew? When did he...? "The Virtues existed from the dawn of time too..."

"Yes, very good! The boy can connect two and two!" Malachi's antics went to a new level this day. He was angry, he was afraid. He couldn't be himself, because himself was unsure, himself was unstable. So he relied on the antics, the acting. "But, don't you be fooled by their pretty name. The Virtues deserve to be destroied."
