Ivy scowled, why did he call her that, it was Avignon name for her.... Breathing heavily Ivy went to the corner farthest from Avris and sat down, her arms crossed. She was actually worried that she might let some spores loose that would poison Avris so she balled up her fists.

Avris' dark hair fell over his eyes slightly as he leaned his head against the door. He closed his eyes for a moment, standing perfectly still.
Then he took a step back, and slammed his foot into the door. He put so much force into it, that even though it opened inwardly it was knocked off it's hinges. He moved the door's remains to the side, and walked through without looking back.

Ivy looked up. "Where are you going? Your gonna get killed." She stood up and hurried over to Avris. "Stop, he's gonna come back."

"You wanna stay in this hell hole?" His voice was still impassive. He didn't look at her, but continued foward. "Be my guest. Since you're so dangerous," he added, throwing her threats back in her face. "...I'm sure you'd make a great weapon. And I'm sorry that I have to bring up not-so-pretty ideas, like how the vampires want to use you, since I know you're nothing more than a child and can't deal with those consepts, but that's the truth. They want your power, not you. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather have the choice of 'sulking in a corner', instead of fighting. This is martial law. You fight, or you die. Or, you do the Avris thing, and get the hell out of this place.
"Make your choice, daisy."

"Well, you are being rude aren't you." A voice came from the room that they had just left. Pain appeared from the shadows. "Leaving so soon? Just when your little fight was getting amusing." The was a swish of clothing and at least 20 other vampires appeared, fangs glistening.

"Well, you didn't just expect us to stay there all day, did you?" Ivy couldn't be sure if the "us" he was refering to ment himself and her, or the bird twins alone...
Avris' eyes met every vampire's in the room, before returning to Pain. He crossed his arms loosely and waited for a reply.

"I have been waiting to discuss with my superior about what I am going to do?" Pain's eyes held Avris's gaze. " I don't know excatly what to do with you? Letting you go right now is out of the question."

"Talk first, action later? Doesn't seem like your normal strategy," Avris commented icily.

Pain chuckled and shook his head. "I'm not very good at making the right decisions. I"m still young." Pain glanced around at the room. "You have damaged our room....and did you really think you were going to escape?"

"I'm rash, not stupid," Avris replied. "Are we going to be forced back into that room, or are you going to go talk to your master?"

"He will probably show up soon. He always comes." Pain looked around, he had been supposed to meet Dreaven in his office but had gotten sidetracked.

As if on cue, the vampiric psychic entered the room, with a grin on his face. Not a very pleasent sight considering his fangs shown quite clearly. "So, is our guest all settled in yet, Pain?" he asked, walking over to the two. "You know I don't like to be kept waiting... but I see that you are trying to be a hospitable host, so I shall ask you to come to my office later...." With that, he threw a guick glance to Avris. Don't even think about leaving this place, Avris. For if you do.. I will know. The telapath was quite clear...

Pain flushed, "I...I aplogize Dreaven, I had a feeling something might happen." Oh great, now I'm in trouble Pain glanced at the surrounding vampires, he nodded slightly and all of the disappeared except for two who positioned themselves at the end of the hall.

"Doesn't sound like you're in the good books..." Avris commented dryly. Pain had brought them here, and if that didn't fit into the "master's" plans, then they were screwed.

"Well, go about your business you two. I shall see you later Pain."Dreaven said, leaving the room. It seemed he was in an oddly cheery mood... Few things actually made Dreaven happy. Fewer made him smile.
