((no Idea as to whether or not I'm actually allowed to post, but someone said I could.... So I am.))
James Turned the street corner, Pulling the single strap to his dark grey messenger back further up his shoulder as it started to slide off the thin black fabric of his zip-up Hoodie. Where was it? The boy frowned, looking from the Bright green street sign that stood on a Light post before him to the crumpled, yellowed piece of Scrap paper that he held in his hand with two words scribbled messily in his own handwriting. It had been a while since he had first known of the place, when he overheard to other boys talk about it, How it was a 'freak school'. Well, James was one of those Freaks, right? He might as well check it out. He turned left on California Street, Hoping that the directions the lady at the Gas station gave him were as correct as he could get them.
As he turned on another Street that he hadn't quite caught the name of, He saw an Arched iron gate, and a fence that ran around a large lawn, A brick building perched neatly on it's green surface. Welded upon the black iron Fence in large, curly letter, were the two words that James had been following For the past month; Twilight Academy. Slowly, he approached the closed gate, lifting up his right hand to set it on the single horizontal bar that ran across the multiple vertical ones. Slowly, the gate pushed itself open, whether by the small amount of Force James was exerting on it, or by its own will, No one knew, or cared. Maybe, Just Maybe, James had Found Safety.
As James walked along the main Cobblestoned path, he noticed that there were a lot of Other People there- Some very young, most about his age, some older. Tons of people had been affected; but most of them were probably from around the area. Not From almost around the globe. James was sure he was getting weird stares as he walked up to the main doors, considering the fact that he had just walked through the dark gates and made his way up the lawn. Maybe he'd be kicked out; That would suck. To be thrown out of the one place he had been searching for since before he knew it had actually existed.
Finally, he set foot on the First step of Several to get to the oak doors that would lead him to The inside of the Academy. Taking a deep inhale, a mixture of relief, excitement, and extreme anxiety, James ascended the Stone steps to the Door. It felt as if It took forever, but maybe James was just imagining it; For when he had finally reached his hand out and pulled on the handle, It felt as if He had just been at the bottom of the steps moments ago... It felt as if he had Been in Toronto Just moments ago. Maybe this was the end of His Days in Hiding. Maybe. As he closed his hand around the handle, Fingerless gloves sliding on the Slick surface of the black metal, He pulled hard, only to discover that it was locked tight. Scowling, he turned back around, making his way down the steps. 'Completely expected that,' James muttered to himself as he stepped off the bottom step. Standing idle for a moment, he looked back, hoping that someone would at least acknowledge his presence.

Suddenly, three figures came tearing by, they were laughing hysterically. They cast furtive looks behind them and slowed down, suddenly a bush next to them erupted in flames. Still laughing two of them transformed into eagles and flew over the top of the school, the third stood and sunk into the earth.
Feuer came running up his face was full of anger. "d**n you, come back here and take those snakes out of the girls wing." He flung furtive fire balls after the birds. Yelling in exasperation he looked at the bush. "Crap, Jasmine's gonna kill me." He glanced over at the boy sitting on the step.
"Let me guess, you're a new student who I"m gonna have to watch over?"

"Let me guess, you're a new student who I"m gonna have to watch over?"
The Question Came From Above as James Sat on the Stone Steps. Looking upward, he noticed another person staring at him. He Stood up. 'Uh... No, not really.' He replied uncertainly. 'I'm Not a student, yet.' James wondered absesntmindedly wether or not The person Standing before him was also infected, or whatever the normal Human race had decided to call them This week.

"well, if you want a place to say you are welcome to stay here. This is Twilight Academy, safe haven to Infectees everywhere. Now please telll me you r abilities so that I my figure out which direction would be best for you." THe whole speach was very dry and was well scripted. Feuer really hated saying it but Jasmine had already yelled at him for trying to turn people away.

James listened to the unenthusiastic welcome, and took his time with the answering. 'Fire,' He replied curtly. 'I can make fire.' James wondered whether that was even the right way to put it. He didn't know if he could actually make it, or just set things aflame with a simgle sideways glance. He wasn't affected in any way by fire, either- Water, on the contrary, burnt him horribly. So he was pretty screwed up. 'I guess you could Say I'm... Pyrokenetic?' He added, substitiuting 'tele' from the word 'Tekekenetic', since pyrokenetic sounded kinda cool.

Feuer nodded, "There seems to be alot of us pyro's around." He glanced at the burning bush and waved his hand in a casual gesture. The flames jumped off the plant and was summunded to his hand.

"There seems to be alot of us pyro's around." He told James, extending his hand and causing the fire from the bush to leap into his palm. 'I've never met another one,' James stated. He'd only Known one other infectee, and she turned half cat. Not a pretty sight. 'So.... Do I have to talk to the headmaster, or take a test, or pay a fee or something to get in?' He hoped he didn't have to pay anything; He'd used all of his money on the busride. But He'd made it this far, He didn't really care if he had to Steal a bit more money for the cause.

Feuer cocked his head to one side and looked at the fire more closely. It seemed to entrance him. Shaking his head he came back to reality. "Actaully, it would be Headmistress, and I'll just tell her you came. I'm a teacher."
Feuer gave the boy another searing look. "You don't have to pay for anything here, unless you go into town and buy stuff. We have a fund for kids who need loans."

'Oh, alright.' James replied, glad that board at the Acadamy was free. He didn't expect him to be A Teacher, either. James just guess that he was A student, for some stupid reason. But whatever. James wondered if he should give his name, but he decided against it. the Teacher didn't seem to care, which was fine. Actually, James preferred it.

Feuer looked up as he heard a loud crash. Broken glass rained down on them. Swinging his hand around his head, the flame whirled up into a tornado and the glass flew aside and dug itself into the ground. He looked up and saw that there was a huge hole in the window. Ice was dripping down as it melted. "CHAOS!!!! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!!!"
Chaos walked casually out from behind the trees. She walked slowly humming to herself, her face was completely innocent, or at least it looked like she was trying. "I didn't do that to hurt anyone, just wanted to give the new kid some excitement." SHe was completey relaxed and didn't seem to care about what she just did.

The Sound of breaking glass caught James' Attention as the two spoke, and he looked up. Not the smartest thing to do, but... whatever. luckily, he didn't get hurt, and as he looked closer he noticed the hole in the glass was surrounded by a coat of...ice. odd. "CHAOS!!!! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!!!" the teacher-guy-person (Whatever.) screamed, and a girl walked out from behind a group of trees. "I didn't do that to hurt anyone, just wanted to give the new kid some excitement." she called back, her Tone and expression revealing the lack of Remorse for waht she did.
Excitement? After living on the streets for four years, James needed more than a broken window for excitement, and his features showed it. He looked no more alarmed as he did the moment he arrived at the academy, which was, if you were interested, wasn't alarmed in the least. He was a bit aggitated, though, because he really didn't enjoy being called 'new kid' too much. 'I have a name,' he muttered. 'It's James.'

Chaos rolled her eyes, "Okay, whatever, I wanted to give James a thrill." Crossing her arms she looked him up and down. She seemed put out that she didn't scare him. "So Feuer, what you gonna do? Give me a detention." It was clear that she didn't expect anything. "Just so you know Feuer, you might want to hide you cigarrettes more carefully, A student might find them." Grinning she pulled out a cigarette and snapped her fingers. A flame jumped from them onto the cigarrette and she took a puff."
Feuer mumbled something under his breath and glared at Chaos. Turning to James he grinned. "You know what? I'm gonna let Chaos explain stuff to you." Walking away he chuckled to himself. If he couldn't send students away personally he could torture that boy by making him stay around Chaos.

An enraged, but faintly girlish yell came from somewhere within the building.
Without warning, a black stain-like thing moved as swiftly as the hawks across the ground, stopping dangerously near to Feuer. With a burst, the stain shot up into the air, taking the form of a girl. Several whip-like tendrils shot up from the shadow along side her. From each shadowy arm hung a snake, writhing in the shadow hand's grip.
"Furer!" the girl screamed, her anger flashing in her eyes. "WHAT. THE HELL. IS. THIS?" With each pause, she thrust a snake precariously close to his face. The snakes hissed wildly, proof that the grip of the shadows wasn't enough to kill them... yet. Somehow, the hissing seemed appropriate for the irate girl's attitude. "You let them get away, didn't you?" she seethed, her dark hair flaring out around her pale face. "You just point me in the right direction and I'll..."
For the first time since the start of her outburst, Tribe noticed the boy standing near Feuer. "Oh." The shadows lowered, becoming less violent as she cooled down. In turn, the angry sankes stayed angry, but were ever so slightly less so. "New student?" she asked Feuer. It was really more of a statement than a question, though. "Well, I suppose the proper thing to do here would be to introduce myself," she said monotoniously, turning back to the boy. "I'm Tribe. And, as you can very well see for yourself, I control the shadows." She paused, drawing closer to him. She extended her hand; the shadow hands moved behind her, blocking his view of the snakes. "I live in the snake-infested girl's wing..." She shot a glance back at Feuer. It was his job to keep those brats in line.
As she shook his hand, she moved even closer, then suddenly backed away. "You smell like smoke. Either Feuer's bad aim mistook you for those little pranksters, or you're another pyro. I hope it's the prior..."
"What are you going to do now, Boss?" She put her hands on her hips, and the snake's came back to life suddenly, right by Feuer's head. "I'm not sleeping with snakes, damnit!" she swore.
Loud laughter sounded out from over all of their heads. Tribe immediatly knew who's it was, without looking, but she looked anyways.
Malachi was SITTING on the side of the building. He grinned down at the comic trio on the front porch.
"I don't see what you're getting so upset about." He stood up, perpendicular to the wall. With one swift movement, he jumped off the wall and landed beside Tribe with the grace of a feline. "They're addorable!" Malachi had several snakes draped on his arms and around his neck, just to spite Tribe. And boy, did she know it.
"Of course they are, Malachi..." Tribe said cooly, her angry glare turned on Malachi now. "I'll bet they'll look even more addorable if we just make some minor adjustmens."
Without any further warning, various spots on Malachi turned black, and jutted out like spikes from his torso. The spikes would have appeared random, if they hadn't beheaded a snake with each fatal stab.
A dozen snake heads fell to the ground around Malachi's shoes, and a dozen dead snakes started to bleed profusely onto his shirt. He frouned slightly. "It's cheap to use my own body for your shadows, Cristina," he said calmly, envoking Tribe's real name. Within an instant, his grin came back. "You're right, they do look better this way!"
"You're impossible!" she screamed, her anger now finding a new outlet. Or maybe it was the origional outlet. With Tribe's ever flunctuating moods, and Malachi's... well, Malachi in general, really, it would be hard to tell. The only thing that was for sure was that Malachi was willing and ready to do anything to even so little as annoy Tribe. "Why can't you just leave me the hell alone!"
"You're mine, darling," He grinned sadistically. The chilling effect of Malachi's demonic grin was magnified by the fact that he had snake blood splattered across his face and shirt. Tribe was also fairly certain that he had manipulated the shadows around himself to make it look dark, even on this sunny day. As many times as she had been exposed to Malachi's origional brand of torture, his smile, his genuine smile (if you could even call that a smile), still sent shivers down her spine.
The sight of Malachi's grin caused her to lose control of the shadows for a moment, and the snakes in the shadow hands had their little heads popped off. She hadn't ment to, and hadn't realized she had untill she felt something warm splash across her own face and back. "D-damint..." she swore again when she realized what she'd done. She quickly began wiping the blood off, giving her an excuse to look away from Malachi. "I'll take care of the snakes." Her voice was alot softer than it had been before.
"No need. I got the last of them, and you disposed of them! What a great team we made!" Anyone watching just at that point would have thought that Malachi was just another student, cheery and polite. He had the habbit of speaking about the most horrible of things in the most chearful of voices.
"Don't act like such a saint! You're not capable of doing anything good!" she snapped.
"Oh, I'm not, Cristina," he told her, unwinding the dead snake carcasses from around him, letting them fall at his feet. He looked back at her, letting their eyes meet, and told her the rest of what he was thinking through the telepathic link they still shared. I'm the one who gave them the idea in the first place!
"You jerk!" Tribe exclaimed.
Don't tell, dear.
Like hell I won't! "He did it! He's the one who told those little brats to let the snakes loose in the building," Tribe immediatly told Feuer. No doubt another attemt to anger me...
Aww... You ruined all my fun... Malachi complained mentally, pouting slightly.
"Don't call me 'dear'," she shot back outloud, in reply. She moved away from Malachi, thoroughly discusted. She wasn't going to stand between Feuer and whatever punishment he decided to put on Malachi.

Feuer sighed, why did this stuff always happen while he was duty. He was hoping to get away from the kid and find a better spot for his stash. "Tribe, go talk to Jasmine, she could handle this better." He looked down at the dead snakes. "And anyway, she hates it when animals are used in cruel way, considering her abilities."

'Er... Alright,' He muttered, watching as he walked away, leaving him with the crazy girl, apparently named Chaos, who had tried to 'Exite' him. SHe seemed a bit flustered that she hadn't scared the sh-it (Had to do that, cuz then it censors it) out of him. He watched as she lit a cigarette with a snap of her fingers, and he cocked his head with interest. 'You can make fire, too?' He asked her, traces of his accent pushing through as he spoke.
Suddenly, another person entered on the scene. After talking a bit with whom was apparently name Fueur, She addressed james. 'Yeah, I...make fire.' He smelt like smoke? hm.
That was when he noticed the other person on the side of the buidling, like gravity had been turned off or somthing. this place was getting weirder by the minute, but James didn't mind. it felt like belonging.
